Hey friends, we just finished a nice visit with my Uncle Bari and he was nice enough to bring us dinner. Amazingly we couldn't have paid enough for the view that we got during our dinner. We sat outside the new Tram here at OHSU and there is a beautiful balcony area to sit on. AMAZING. I didn't have my camera then but I did have it throughout the day today. Hadley has been fully taken off of her fluids so we are trying to get all of her needed liquids from Janelle! This is great news as it is another step closer to home. She is eating like a "monster" as another of our favorite nurses Kathy has told us. We are so encouraged by her growth and recovery, even if we have to stay here another week. It's just another week for her to get bigger, stronger, and ready to head home! Without further ado, I want to include some pics from today.

As Casey mentioned in his commentary, I was able to spend the evening with Casey, Janelle and Hadley (a.k.a. "The Milk Monster").
When I arrived with dinner, Casey had just fed Hadley (while Janelle rested back at Ronald McDonald House). Janelle joined us on the balcony by the Tram, and we enjoyed a quiet time with (as Casey mentioned) a view, looking east with an amazing vista of Mount Hood!
We returned to Hadley's room (in which, as "Senior Resident," she has the best bed, the one by the window with the sweeping, panoramic view) and she was still in her post-feeding snooze. Eventually she nodded awake (amidst many, many, many yawns).
As the evening progressed, we all were able to hold her, spoil her, and just sit in wonder with thanksgiving for how much progress she's made (and the trials, too) in her first 20 days of life.
Thanks go to Casey for updating the blog and to Janelle for being such a conscientious mom!
While they're so anxious to get back to Idaho, I know they're cautiously optimistic---as each day Hadley is gaining strength and spirit for the subsequent days ahead!
The nursing staff at Doernbecher is so dedicated, watchful and professional, all-the-while being cordial and welcoming.

Hadley continues to get cuter each time you post a picture. How does she do that? What is her secret? It must be God smiling through her knowing that He is fulfilling the prayers being said for her. She looks content and very well loved by her Mommy and Daddy. Good job, Boothby family! Dave and Twila
